Digital photography truly is the new darkroom. The capability exists, not only to enhance, but to create a completely new piece of work. This art form really encompasses disciplines from both the creative and the analytical.

An understanding of file types, compression formats, color gamut and DPI all need to coexist with the ability to compose and capture images in time.

As with so many other things, digital photography affords me the luxury of indulging in the composition and creation of art - and then manipulating it through the use of computers and technology. For me, that is the best of both worlds.
