Music From The Paddock

Reuniting With Old Friends

In July of 2025, Rusty and I, as we'd done so many times in the past, came together to make music.

Rusty's been in my life from the absolute beginning of musical time in Nashville. We'd recorded things in the bedroom version of the studio and then he was there on day one when I started construction of Attic Recording (in the basement).

We met early on when I went to work at EBM as a copier technician. Rusty was working in the Microfilm Department (anybody remember microfilm?)

The Paddock

So, when I asked Rusty if I could come to Nashville for a visit he said, "sure." He knew we'd be in our 27' motorhome and offered to have us park in his paddock for a couple of days. That was great!

I always loved working with Rusty. He is one of the most heartfelt and emotional musicians I've had the privilege of working with over the years.

This was one of many early collaborations with Rusty Nix from the bedroom studio.

Disco Rhythmer Funk

And then one from the (many) Attic Studio sessions. Probably from the early 90s.
